I think snickerdoodles are a highly underrated cookie. Add a little of this and a little of that and you can transorm this already lovely cookie into a tasty morsel. My friend makes some tasty butterscotch ones, but I am a sucker for pretty ones. These are rolled in India Tree Sparkling Sugar and are as pretty as they yummy!1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinammon
(This is the basic recipe after that it’s up to you!)

Roll balls of dough in sparkling sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets slightly flatten the cookie.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Remove immediately from baking sheets.
